this IS something special! A Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow "Rally Car". This is a creation of the Park-Ward Motors Museum inspired by various Rolls-Royces that actually competed in famous rally events world-wide over the years. She represents what we believe a 1970s Paris - Dakar type rally car would have looked like. This is a right hand drive, UK spec, Silver Shadow that came to us in the usual neglected state of some Silver Shadows we see. The car was gone thru by us and considerable mechanical work attended to bringing her up to speed; engine tuned, hydraulics refurbished (pumps, valves, accumulators, hoses, brakes etc). Cooling system flushed, drive-train serviced as needed. The suspension was lifted some 5" and heavy duty cross-country tyres fitted. The fuel tank was replaced with all supply systems serviced (pump, filters lines, carburetors rebuilt etc). The exterior of the car was stripped of its "unnecessary" bright-work (the grille and Spirit of Ecstasy is ALWAYS a necessity on a Rolls-Royce!). The cracked windshield was intentionally left as a must! There is rust in the rocker panels and lower fenders but these in no way effect the structural integrity. She is frame and body strong. The car was gutted of its original interior and fitted out with period looking rally racing get up. This includes 4 point harness front seats, a plethora of driving and spot lights, roof rack, jerry cans, "roo" bar at front, right down to an "outback" hessian desert water bag. Fun stuff to the interior include a 70's telephone, CB radio, fire extinguisher, small rally steering wheel, extra instruments and switches mounted "racing style" and diamond plate look finishes to the dash and door trims. We believe the empty cigarette packs, chocolate wrappers and coffee cups on the dash give her the final touch! It has the UK spec hi-compression engine fitted so she has considerable horse-power compared to conventional local examples. And, being significantly stripped down of many of her fittings, her power to weight ratio is evident in the way she gets up and goes. The rear brakes are currently not connected so as to maximise the standing-start torquing burn-out that she does effortlessly and hilariously (see video in link). The car shows some 6,000 miles but true mileage is unknown. This creation very well captures a time gone by when such a car was really used in cross country rallying. Many have asked; "is it real". I was at the 2017 RROC and surprisingly received a lot of accolades!! ~~.

Seller's comments and description: the interior of the car was also restored to include all new upholstery & carpets. Not factory materials but a nice and masterful presenting finish nonetheless. The wood is well finished in its original satin style.

The connolly interior is finished in rich burgundy with magnolia matching piping. The interior makes for a striking combination with the exterior. This shadow ii is very straight with the paint in overall nice presentation. The paint is actually mostly original which is quite rare for these cars considering the paint on these cars would rarely "go the distance". It is not perfect and there are signs of age to include chips, blemishes and signature cracking in the lead-wiping areas of the car. So please do not expect perfection from a show car point of view but it is otherwise very nice for driver use. The burl walnut wood finishes are entirely original and have never been redone. They are very nice with only some slight hair-line marks notable in the driver's door and parts of the dash. This is also very rare to see on a rolls-royce of this vintage as the rr finish was a very thick and deep lacquer which in mostly all cases, cracks and peels off after many years of seasonal temperature change. For this car to sport its original wood can only mean that it has been homed and/or stored under "constant" temperature which very clearly supports its west coast usa up-bringing. The connolly leather is in excellent condition throughout without any notable marks or blemishes. It is finished in rich burgundy. The carpets are a solid burgundy. I think it is difficult not to describe the interior as anything less than striking! All glass, chrome and bright work are excellent. All lights, instruments, features and functions are in working order. Mechanically, the car has been subject to the 30 year service and restoration experience of the park-ward motor museum's private workshop and trained rr mechanics and craftsmen. Like every other car delivered by park-ward it comes with everything in excellent working and operating condition, fully inspected and serviced. This includes the all important hydraulics & brakes - fully inspected and pressure tested with any parts replaced and/or over-hauled as required. All electrics have been fully gone thru and serviced as required. The climate control in good working order with the heater nice and hot and the air conditioning blowing icy cold. In summary, the car is shipped with everything fully operational, down to the smallest light bulb. A strong 9+ out of 10. Climate Control✔ Air Conditioning

This is a stunningly presenting, low mileage and excellent condition Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base ("LWB") with factory division. Finished in the very regal combination of Midnight blue (non-metallic) with Dove grey Connolly hides and matching carpets. It has craftsman hand-painted fine lines to the waistlines finished in a matching light grey. Rolls-Royce made only a very limited number of "limousine" division cars and on special order. Less than 500 out of all 35,000 Silver Shadows built*. The divisions were only fitted on Long Wheel Base cars providing electrically operated privacy glass between the front and rear compartment with a separate radio and entirely autonomous air conditioning system mounted in the boot that provided overwhelming climate control for its special VIP rear seat passengers. The division system includes a unique piece of burl walnut wood that traverses the width of the division and surrounds the radio and control section. The glass division can be operated independently by the driver or the rear seat passengers. (*Upon research, we learn that only some 10% of divisions were supplied so out of the total number of 2,780 LWB Silver Shadows built, this brings the number to about 300. This Division has been in the hands of the right owners most of its life having been caretaken in more recent years by a small car collector enthusiast who hardly used it and simply admired it. When we received the car, it had the common issue, not-used-enough seized and overheated rear brakes but was ostensibly in original condition. A strong straight example of a Silver Shadow division now due for restoration. Such a nice example that we decided to do a deserving restoration to her. The exterior of the car was car accident free, without rust and the underside without scale and tidy. A high-end job at a cost of some $20,000 to include a brand new factory correct black Everflex top with new window gaskets, moulding clips and body hardware. As part of the reconditioning process we removed all the bright-work and machined buffed every individual piece. This was followed by hand polishing and meticulous cleaning prior to re-fitment. Inside door edges and jams are incredibly clean and tidy without unsightly overspray or any signs of restoration. The fine lines on the car were applied in the same manner as Rolls-Royce did so to all its cars for many years; a trained craftsmen with a good eye and steady hand. With only the best squirrel hair brush the striping is applied entirely free-hand in one elegant stroke at a time. The Connolly leather remains without any unsightly wear marks nor tears and displays very clean. The headliner is brand new factory correct broad-cloth wool imported from the UK and is literally brand new in presentation. The advert space in this listing is character limited. Here is a really interestingly original presenting rolls-royce silver spirit finished in light ocean blue (metallic) with navy connolly hide interior. The twin fine lines to the waist-rails are hand-painted in dark blue gold. The car is a very clean and original example of a spirit, not perfect, but very high marks for originality and cleanliness throughout. This particular example has had the ugly us spec headlights replaced for the correct "euro spec" front headlights making the car look as the designers intended and giving her a far more modern appearance. This one is a well maintained example with good collector-status ownership showing a low 66,700 miles. It has recently been thru park-ward's workshop and anything requiring doing was attended to including all the hydraulics and braking system inspected and overhauled as required (pumps, accumulators, gas springs, etc). Mechanically, this car needs nothing. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The car sports 235/75 15 whitewall tyres on original rolls-royce steel wheels with the optional silver spur stainless steel hub caps, the body of the car is straight and the paint nice and shiny. The car was completely repainted some 10 years ago and rarely used since so she presents very consistently, deep in lustre with almost no imperfections. There are no dents or dings (i apologise the bonnet was not closed properly at the time of photos). Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in good condition. The interior on this car is extra nice and very original in presentation. The entire interior is original and has not been redyed but for a small part on the front seat cushions. All the wood in the car is completely original which is not often seen on these early spirits and spurs. A perfectionist would have them re-done by us but i think the originality outweighs doing so, in my opinion. As part of park-ward's maintenance program, all major electricals and features & functions are inspected and serviced so everything is operating as it should; windows, seats, mirrors, central locking, a/c, heater, lights, wipers, etc. Each independently and meticulously serviced. A true, "take the keys and drive" example with no additional budget needed to attend to any nuances or gremlins. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10+ out of 10 driver rating. She is a very pretty example of the early spirit model with few left remaining in this condition these days.~~ this is a very elegant presenting silver spirit in "light ocean blue" that looks great in all settings. She would make a wonderful weekend driver or to add to a british collection representing the marque of the early 1980s. ~~. Air Conditioning

Words cannot describe this stunning 1954 silver dawn. Finished in black with aquamarine (light sage-teal green) connolly leather upholstery fashioning everything in a very original and unrestored manner. She comes with a factory fitted sun-roof. Recently from the collection of a wealthy industrialist, where the owner was an avid (and life-time) collector of collectible classic cars, this silver dawn is one in very original condition and perhaps amongst the best out of the collection. Its most recent owner purchased the car in 1982 and had been part of his private collection since. The silver dawn was rolls-royce's first step back into the “luxury” market after world war ii in 1949. The silver wraith had been the first vehicle released post-war in 1946. With only 760 silver dawns produced from 1949-1955, this truly is a rare vehicle. Body and paint is excellent with no known repaint during the industrialist's ownership. She is finished off with aquamarine/teal fine lines to the side coach-work in the correct hand painted tradition. Chrome, glass and fittings all present well. The interior is simply stunning with all its original fitments. The connolly leather is supple soft with only very modest signs of aged hides. The african burl walnut wood throughout is in nice condition and appears to be the only aspect of the interior that has been refinished. Carpets are excellent and the headliner without wear. Mechanically, the car is superb. She sings like the best should sing and always come to life when called upon. Recently put through park-ward's fully appointed facility with anything needing doing attended to. This aside, the car was excellent to commence with. She idles very smooth, powers well and handles the road comfortably and straight. She comes to a stand still true and strong. The tyres on the car are period correct whitewalls and are only a few years old. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The car is of very high standard and is an undisputable 10 out of 10 driver rating and a true preservation class show car.

Presenting here, a really gorgeous example of a silver shadow ii. Finished in 2-tone willow gold over chestnut with matching fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome beige connolly hides with chocolate piping and matching carpets, also with chocolate binding. The same beige theme carries through to the boot. It presents in excellent condition. This has been a texan car most of its life so it is a “dry” and clean example that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. The car has factory fitted twin door-mounted rear view mirrors. A full "glass-out and doors-off" repaint costing some $18,000. The paint is without blemish, flat as glass and on a very straight and dent free body. There is not even any signs of the usual "lead-wiping" cracking at the base of the a & c pillars, common on almost all silver shadows. The willow gold over chestnut is a rarely seen combination and is simply elegance at its best. The silver wraith ii presented here has been work-shop inspected where all work needed is carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. Brakes pumps have been rebuilt, new accumulators fitted, calipers and pads serviced. It is ready to drive and enjoy. It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of lesser maintained examples of this model. The interior is completely original with the connolly leather never redyed or repaired. It is without tears nor fading and true to its connolly characteristics showing just the right amount of patina. This was a process unique to the connolly brothers' tanning process which ceased at the end of the silver shadow series. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is also all original. There are minor hairline cracks on the dash and chips on the front door cappings where the seatbelt often strikes the finish but nothing objectionable and, once again, showing a nice degree of gentle-use patina. The burl walnut in this example has a deep red hue and is truly magnificent. The head lining is original and in good condition. The original wilton wool carpets with leather binding are also in good condition. Likewise is the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is in excellent condition. The car has a near new set of hankook 225/75 white-wall tyres and the stainless hubcaps are excellent with minimal to no imperfections. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are the originals in good condition. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating.

This is a very fine Silver Shadow II finished in a stunning combination of 2-tone Pewter over Brewster green with moss fine-lines on the waistline and hubcap trim rings. The interior is finished in beige with matching moss piping and rugs. This combination is rarely seen on Shadow IIs in the US. This is a very clean and original example that has been well cared for by its 3 previous mature owners of some 30 odd years. It is totally original with no modifications. It even has it original Blaupunkt blue-dot push button radio and factory Pioneer tape deck in its original position. A nice genuine touch. Mechanically this Shadow II is strong. These were overhauled where required; pumps, accumulators, reservoirs cleaned, lines & hoses replaced, with rotors, calipers & pads serviced and system final pressure tested and bled. The level heights are correct. Transmission, engine ancillaries and exhaust are all inspected and the car road-tested for correct operation. The car drives very “tight” without any of the typical “rattles & thumps” typical of this model. The car is now all up to date on its services and EVERYTHING operating as it should. The body is straight and paint presents very well indeed. The car was repainted some 5 years ago so it is very shiny and consistent. The car does have some of the signature hair-lines at the base of the “A” & “C” pillars but these are minimal - Rolls-Royce used the “lead-wiping” technique for joining body panels. With the different expansion and contraction rates of lead vs steel, this caused the paint to fracture and so paint stress marks at these points occurred on every single Silver Shadow. Overall, the car is very minor on other blemishes and marks so presents well - certainly above average for a Rolls-Royce of this age. As a daily driver, the paint presents as a 9 out-of-10. The interior presents very clean and fresh with the leather in an excellent state. The Connolly hide in this example is the light tan (beige) with Moss green piping and floor rugs which matches in nicely with the 2-tone exterior paint combination. The wood was recently redone at a cost of over $3,500 and is simply stunning. It presents very rich with warm and deep grains. A custom cup-holder was also made for the centre console in matching real burl walnut and this was $450 (Rolls-Royce did not have cup-holders in the day so this is a great bonus). The dash roll is in excellent condition with no leather pulling at the vents. This is one of the best testaments for the cars garaged and stored status for most of its life as over time, even minimal sun will damage these. All features, gauges, instruments and electrics work well. All interior lights and dash lights are all fully working. Heater and air-conditioning are fully functional. These are all thoroughly gone thru by Park-Ward. For example, we service all the windows to ensure smooth and swift up and down movement (windows often get very slow on Silver Shadows). For example, the chrome and bright-work around the car is excellent. The brake pedal has minimal wear. This is a hard car to fault and drives very strong. The jack never used and still wrapped in its original factory wax paper.

The connolly interior is finished in mid blue with matching pale blue floor rugs. So it is not only the roof but a "lip" around the car ~ hence the term "top-hat". The bentley t ("t1 ") is the rare derivative of the silver shadow. It was the twin sister to the rolls-royce silver shadow and is differentiated by a bentley radiator grille, mascot and "flying b". Out of some 32,000 4 door rolls-royce silver shadow sedans produced, only 1,700 of these were bentley ts (that is only some 5% of the model series). This t1 bentley may well be 1 out of only a few dozen examples in the us in this very fine condition. The body is straight and the paint is of a good standard and finish. The paint presents very well; high in lustre and shine but there are some minor inconsistencies here and there. Nothing major, nor spectacularly wrong and hard to pick whilst "enjoying" the car so simply mentioned out of clear disclosure. Outside of that, the car displays only minimal little chip marks and imperfections. Fitments and finishes are in good standing; chrome, bright-work, glass, lights, lenses, handles, grille and badges. The interior of the car is in stunning presentation. The african burl walnut wood is spectacular. All the wood, dash, console, door cappings & vanity mirrors are in excellent condition with the doors having been refinished in their correct "satin" finish at some. The dash components are original & stunning. The rest of the interior is very clean & tidy requiring no attention. The connolly hide leather is superb showing just the right amount of patina. There are definitely no tears, wear or unsightly scratches or marks. The headliner is very clean and in perfect original condition, which is a vinyl known as "ambla" - only fitted to the early us spec sy (shadow/bentley t) cars. The dash board and rear parcel shelf are factory excellent. Carpets are clean and tidy and the trunk is pretty much perfect! All interior features and functions are fully operational including all electrics – seats, windows & gauges. The heater is hot and a/c blowing icy cold. Mechanically, the car is in superior condition & the presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. It has not been “done-up” for sale but maintained in original condition which is very impressive for the age of the car. The car has been recently serviced. All hydraulics& brakes have been regularly serviced and recently inspected, pressure tested, bled & working perfectly – all heights are correct - there are no outstanding matters requiring attention. As expected of a fine example, the car comes with its correct jack, tool s& operating manual. At 79,800 miles, the mileage is not verifiable but the current condition makes it look exactly that. It is important to note, this bentley has not been "tarted-up" but simply very well looked after in original factory presentation. Anything repaired or attended to has been done so professionally and with pride & passion. Air Conditioning
